Hello Babes and happy Friday! I hope you've had a powerful week full of love and goodness- I know its been an emotional ride for many since the New Moon, hang in there though, it will all be worth it!
The last two journal prompts have been about giving and receiving- giving gratitude for all that we have and asking in our hearts greatest desires. Both are entries that can and should be revisited often, as reminders or to be revised as life flows on. I have used journals for years to put my truest of feelings on paper, it allows me asafe space to not hold back or be afraid of being seen, because as soon as I can step into my light of what I truly desire, I can be raw about what I am so f'ing grateful for and what kind of life I desire to create. But there is a shadow to this for many of us- you can use the power of pen to paper in the same way, but it often drudges up insecurity and fears. And we have to become just as brutally honest about our fears as we are of what we desire. So this clear mind and heart exercise I'll introduce to you day is one that I do sometimes more often than I'd like, but it helps clear the cobwebs from those dark corners.
Journal Prompt .02
Create a sacred space for yourself. Light a candle, burn some incense or grab your favorite essential oil. Create a space of no distractions. Take a deep breath and bring your focus to your solar plexus. Sit here with your attention on this energy source, your manipura chakra, the source of 'I Am'. And just ask, without letting the intellectual mind take over- 'what is holding me back?' Still with a clear mind, keeping the attention on your energy point begin to write. It may seem strange at first so just begin by writing whatever thoughts come- usually by my third or 4 sentence/thought I'm starting to receive feed back. Write whatever comes to you without judgement. This is you communicating with yourself on a deeper level and I promise some surprising things will arise and some that you'll be like 'really?!' Once you feel the writing is complete take a deep inhale, filly the belly, chest, and throat- feel yourself expanding and then exhale by sighing it long and slow out the mouth, releasing these fears on the breath.
- #1: No judgement
- Don't worry about grammar, simplicity, or if it feels like gibberish.
- If you feel the intellect coming back to the surface you can always pause and repeat the centering breath and pose the question again. This is intuitive writing so there is no right or wrong!
- You can seal your journal entry with a message of gratitude for what was revealed to you- this helps minimize the fear and give you control by acknowledging it.
Fears often hang out in disguise as the ego works constantly to protect you and keep you in a happy place- by moving past our intellectual mind we can begin to see things as they really are that is the first step to diminishing them. It may seem more difficult in the beginning but I encourage you to stick with it, you will find the flow.
