Body Freedom Part Two | Creating a Meaningful Body Relationship

Join AyurBabe Janae Christopher, Yoga Teacher, Ayurveda Yoga Specialist, and Radical Self Love Trailblazer for this deeper look at our elemental bodies and relationship to food. This second installment of Body Freedom builds off of the information covered in part one and begins to build meaningful ritual and mindset around our bodies and how we fuel them. You have a unique body, you are an extension of nature and her elements, you have the potential for vibrant health, now it is time to see yourself as worthy of sacred living through the practices that Ayurveda provides us. Ayurveda provides a roadmap of living mindfully through understanding the seasons, time of day, and daily practices {that don’t take large chunks of time!} along with eating for your body type for better nutrient assimilation and healthy digestion. We will end our time with the practice of Yoga Nidra to plant seeds of intention for living more in harmony with our bods.

So what is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is the 5,000 year old sister science of Yoga that originated and is still used in Mother India today. Ayurveda translates to the ‘Science of Life’, or ‘Wisdom of Life’, and teaches us that what is around us is also within us- the human body and mind is an extension of Mama Earth and all of her beauty. At the heart of Ayurvedic wisdom lies the power of Agni, our inner fire that regulates all transformations within our body from digestion, assimilation, and cell regeneration and it is believed that if one has strong Agni they have vibrant health! By understanding our elemental make up {constitution} we are better able to kindle the Agni, nourish the body, and create vibrant healthy lives.

What we will cover:

  • Living and Eating by the Ayurvedic Clock
  • Food and Meal Sadhana {ritual}
  • Steps to healing the relationship to food and body
  • Creating daily self care ritual that helps change your relationship to the body
  • Body Freedom Yoga Nidra- a deep meditation and relaxation to begin shifting the mindset

This is Part 2 of a two part series, though attendance to Part One is not necessary it is helpful to have a foundational understanding of your elemental body type.
